White Christmas

Hurray! It's snowing in Seattle and it's V's first "white Christmas". We are enjoying every minute of V's antics. My parents are here and are loving their grandbaby.

We still haven't decided what our traditional Christmas celebration will look like. Some mixture between Noche Buena and Noel. We did alot of non-traditional things this year (had delicious grilled steaks and chicken with Chimichurri sauce for our Noche Buena meal, played Cranium afterwards, crashed well before midnight, didn't have my sister here to wake up our parents early on Christmas day to open gifts) and a few traditional things (cooked and laughed together, ate rice/black beans and key lime pie as part of our Noche Buena meal, sang "Feliz Navidad").

Hope you are all having a great holiday season and enjoying it as much as we are our "melting-pot Christmas".

How many Papau New Guineans does it take...

How many Papau New Guineans does it take to shift the U.S.'s policy on climate change?

Apparently just one...

This CNN article about the recent U.N. climate change conference in Bali says that a speech by a delegate from Papau New Guinea challenged the U.S. to "either lead, follow or get out of the way."
